The support team is composed of people who desire to see God’s kingdom advanced on college campuses, people who are committed to partnership with InterVarsity at Northeastern. The encouragement, financial investment, and powerful prayers of supporters give me energy and courage to press on in this ministry! The vision is to be a team of people involved with the ministry in any number of ways, as is life-giving and character-building for you!
Here are a few examples:
FINANCIAL GIVING – I couldn’t do this job without people who give sacrificially - monthly, one-time gifts, gifts for specific projects, etc. (intervarsity.org/donate for more details)
PRAYER SUPPORT - Prayer moves the heart of God (and changes ours, as well!), so we need LOADS of it as we go forth on campus! Commit to general prayer for the fellowship and/or focused prayers for specific areas of the fellowship’s growth (go to the “prayer FOCUS” tab)
ON-CALL CHEF/BAKER - Provide food or snacks for different outreach events throughout the year to decrease prep-time for staff/students so we can focus on inviting & having solid/relevant content. College kids ALWAYS love & appreciate home-made food!
ENCOURAGEMENT - Staff & students are given courage & faith through words of life from people who are praying for them! Be as creative or simple as you like :]
